The Neoprene T: Grungy Layers

Lately I’ve been all about layers. While I dream of tank tops and shorts, I’ve finally accepted a reality where one minute it’s sunny and warm and the next it’s threatening rain. Rather dramatic if I say so, Mother Nature.

I’ll be honest, I’m a bit too obsessed with this neoprene t. I’ve had it for a few years, and it’s sort of sat in my closet for most of that, because I felt like it wasn’t ever really appropriate to wear. Special occasions, and things like that.

I’ve decided to wear it more, since what’s the point if it’s just in the closet, right? So to make it more appropriate for the weather I added a favorite flannel, which is super comfortable and more casual than the neoprene. I like the blend though, and I think this gives the whole look a bit of an elevated casual vibe.

The shoes are some favorites that I picked up when I was in London years and years ago on a high school trip. Buy what you love, and it’ll last — as long as you take care of it. The silhouette on these is definitely more European, very slim with a minimal sole, and I love the bright bold of marigold yellow. I’m all for yellow footwear, since it’s rather uncommon and an unexpected twist.
