I prefer working out in the mornings. Wake up and first thing, head to the gym — it’s a great physical boost in the morning, gets the endorphins pumping, and I then have the rest of the entire day to get done everything on my To-Do list. That said, when I wake up that early, I’m not always my hungriest. But you definitely need something to keep you going, otherwise you’re running on empty, which isn’t going to get you very far when you’re working out.

Which brings me to PowerCrunch Bars.

The Triple Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge are my favorite flavors, and they’re incredibly rich and delicious, more like a dessert than a protein bar. Which is a shock, since I’ve had lots of protein bars that taste like bark mixed with lumpy trash. Who wants that? These have a decidely rewarding crunch factor, much like a wafer cookie wrapped in chocolate.

They’re loaded with 13 grams of protein and just a mere 5 grams of sugar.
