Luini

Working as a streetsyle photographer, I needed something super quick and super cheap while I was in Milan for fashion week. Right behind the Duomo, and perfectly located for a quick visit between fashion shows, Luini was an ace solution. Known for their panzerotti, a Sicialin speciality that is basically a bit of fried dough, mozzarella, and a filling, I highly recommend you stop by if you get the chance. They offer several varieties, though my favorite was the “prosciutto e mozzarella” — ham and cheese. The dough is tasty, perfectly crisp, and the cheese is just melty enough. 2.50euro apiece, and you’ve got yourself a deal. Try and avoid peak lunch hour, since you’ll have to wait in line — the locals love these just as much as I do!
