Let it Glo

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve fallen head over heels for dayglo. Dayglo peach, in particular. There’s something about the color that seems so fresh, yet not risky. I love how it always makes me look tan, even if I’m feeling pale and overworked. It brightens up anything, but pairs beautifully with black, a habit I can’t see myself stopping any time soon.

A pair of shorts and a t shirt. How boring, how bland. Nothing new to write home about there — unless of course you change up the colors and textures. I’m a pretty simple person when it comes to dressing, and I don’t really like buttons or zippers or fussiness. Simple. Streamlined. Have fun with the colors and the fabrics.

I went on a bit of a spending spree at Asos, filling up my basket with geometric prints and plenty of this fluorescent color. I just couldn’t help myself. The rolled sleeves and the white ringer collar are a nice counterpoint to the more formal feel of the shorts, which are a great textural weave.

While Converse are usually in simple canvas, swapping it out for a pair in leather gives the look a bit more polish, an unexpected refinement.
