I’ve always loved what Isabel Marant does for women, and I’ll be honest, I’ve always been a little bit jealous there’s not been an option for men. Until now. When I saw these jeans in the look book that circulated before the collection launched, I knew I had to get them.

When I was shopping I first grabbed what I thought would be my size. Super excited, I tried them on and was disappointed that the fit was, for lack of a better word, abysmal. Saggy in the butt, baggy in the thighs, the jeans were a bit of a mess. As I was putting them back I spotted the kids’ section, and luckily for me, these hips do lie — I was able to snag the largest kids size, which in turn fit perfectly. And were half the price.

I love how simple they are, yet they still standout. The tuxedo stripe is a detail I’ve always liked, but I love how it’s made a bit more casual here with the textile stripe. It’s simple, yet bold, in a black and white chevron. Instantly it’s a cool classic.

To get the full on Marant look, I paired my jeans with a pair of suede boots from H by Hudson, and an oversized and drapey sweater I’ve had for a while, but also from H&M.
