After an endless, miserable winter it seems like the city is finally springing back into life. The sun has been out, the air has been warm, and I’m quite happy to say life has been feeling pretty good lately. It seems like the tides have finally changed, and we’ve gone from a season of cold straight into a heatwave.
This outfit is basically my new uniform. Black pants, tank top, and a sweatshirt or shirt to cover up when it does get a bit breezy. When everything is fitted just right it looks polished and put together, even if the elements are all pretty casual.
I’ve been all about this color lately, and every time I see it in a store I can’t help myself and have to take it home. It’s something of a washed out dayglow peach, and it makes me look super tan and revitalized, regardless of the actual situation. Check, sign me up for that!
The sunglasses are a favorite pair of mine from the guys at SpyOptic — these are the Bleecker, and I love the retro modern look they have. Also, they feature a Happy Lens technology, which filters out the blue light waves that causes eye strain.
It’s the season for boat shoes, and these are classic Sperry’s, but in an unexpected red. I have a thing for red shoes, and I’m not quite sure why, but I feel like they always add the perfect pop to an outfit, and they’re a great counterpoint to a neutral wardrobe.
