When I’m traveling I usually have a bad habit of running myself ragged. I’m usually on a go-go-go schedule, where I have people to see and places to be. Exploring new neighborhoods is great, but sometimes you just need to sit down and relax. One afternoon I was exploring the 3eme arrondissement, on the hunt for a specific art gallery, and I was lucky enough to stumble across Cafe Pinson, a beautifully appointed cafe whose motto is “in detox we trust.”

The first thing that will catch your eye is the decor — it’s polished, swanky, and cool. Paris is largely my favorite because of the attention to detail, and Cafe Pinson nails it. Rustic stone walls, perfect lighting, comfortable seating, and a playful use of patterns and textures mean this is a soothing haven that is warm and welcoming. As in, I wish this is what my apartment looked like.

The menu at Café Pinson is unique in that all of the food is vegetarian, with many vegan and/or gluten-free options as well. I had a green juice that was a bit grassy, but well, sometimes that’s life. The coffee smelled delicious and the sweets looked delightful, although I was more interested in water, having covered the neighborhood on foot for a few hours.

While the wifi didn’t connect with my phone, there were people in there on laptops who were able to connect, and I’m definitely going to be heading back here for some quiet time.
