Avene Eau Thermale Body Oil

This summer I spent a lot of time trying body oils. They’re quicker to use and are little indulgences when you step out of the shower, since your skin absorbs them quickly and leave you feeling touchably soft and all that goodness. One of the ones I tried and loved was the huile corporelle from Avene, although this is one I’d rather be using during the fall and winter months.

First up, this is a thicker body oil. It takes more effort for it to absorb into my skin, but it doesn’t feel greasy or gross. Just thicker. Which is why I think it would be great when it’s colder and the heat is destroying my skin. The pump dispenses the perfect amount of product, and  I love how the product feels in hand — it has a frosted texture that doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip out of my hand while I’m using it. Trust me, nobody needs the drama of body oils exploding out of your hands.

This is formulated with avocado and calendula oils, which are basically skin superfoods, and it’s enriched with vitamins A and E, which helps with moisture.

I’m picky about products and how they smell, and this one has something of a “spicy spa” effect that I’m into. There’s a bit of a masculine edge to this that I don’t’ typically encounter in products, and it’s subtle enough that I would be happy to wear this all on its own.

You can also use this as a bath oil, by adding a little bit to the water. Because life is all about those multitasking indulgences.
