Turo Skin Anti-Acne Spot Treatment

I don’t know if it’s Mercury in Retrograde or a crazy whirlwind few weeks of work — between Halloween and some video projects I’m working on, I feel like I’ve been awake and on the move around the clock for the last two weeks. I’m proud of the fact that I generally have nice skin; I take care of mine with the occasional mask, I stay hydrated and moisturized on the regular, but sometimes I wake up with a spot that’s really just not supposed to be there. Oh hi, stress, how you doing?

Luckily for me, though, the guys at Turo Skin sent over their Anti-Acne Spot Treatment. When it arrived I was all “oh that’s nice,” and didn’t think I would really use it. Then this week hit and I was reaching for the little blue container.

It’s packed with salicylic acid, which exfoliates skin to unclog pores, and is the usual go-to for spot treatments. This product also has the delightfully titled Avocutine, which is derived from avocados, and aids in oil control and reduces dead skin cell accumulation. There’s an anti-inflammatory ingredient from lilac to help regulate sebum and inhibit acne bacteria. There are also a slew of other ingredients to calm your skin, reduce itch and redness, and help moisturize.

Basically it’s a skin genie in a bottle, and all you need is to rub it the right way, and apply as needed.

I used it last night, applying a little bit right over the spot. This morning it’s gone down dramatically in size and the redness is gone. Hey, just like magic.

It’s $22 over at turoskin.com.
