Before I moved to NYC and started working in beauty, I really didn’t know anything about grooming. I was supposed to wash my face and that was it, right? Oh, how much we learn. As I’ve been introduced to a variety of products over the last few years, there are some that I never thought I would like that have become my absolute favorites. One of those is Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Essence.
Now, when I first met this product I thought it was a bit too fussy and dainty for my tastes. A floral misting spray? Um, ok. However, the more I used this one, the more I began to love it.
This is a lightweight moisturizing mist that boosts the skin’s natural hydration, with bioidentical hyaluronic acid, which supports hydration where it matters most — in the deeper levels of the skin. What hyaluronic acid does is bind water and lubricate movable points of the body, such as joints and muscles. So, by its very nature it’s grabbing onto water, which means your skin will be looking sublime. The fact that the hyaluronic acid is bioidentical means this will almost immediately absorb into your skin. Easy, effortless.
To this there the team at Tata Harper has added a weightless blend of natural humectants, which keeps your face feeling hydrated all day long. Moreover, this is a toning spray, which helps minimize pores and also gives your skin a great glowing polish.
So how does one use this? You really just spray your face — like mace, but, well, not so violent. I hold the bottle maybe six inches from my face and do two sprays.
I love this for traveling. When you’re on the plane and feeling gross, I like heading to the lavatory and using this to freshen up. The smell is intoxicating, and just a few spritzes makes my skin feel clean and refreshed. Which is exactly what you need on those long haul flights.
