Montepulciano Palazzo Nobili-Tarugi
Palazzo Nobili-Tarugi is a palace of Montepulciano. Located on the Piazza Grande in front of the Duomo of Montepulciano , it has been attributed to Antonio da Sangallo the Elder (although some in more recent times prefer to refer it to Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola) that it would build in the first decades of the sixteenth century. It was the first residence of the noble family and later the family Tarugi . Completely covered in travertine, the ground floor has an impressive portico with arches to all sixth , once open to the public. On the corner at the loggia it opened lower, also on the second floor, a gallery now buffered. The palace is not open to the public.
