As a photographer, I’m always staring at people’s faces and, subsequently, people’s skin. Skincare is a pretty big deal for me personally, so it’s one thing I do my best to take care of.

When it comes to healthy looking skin, moisturization is huge, huge, huge. When your skin is dehydrated, you end up looking dull, flaky, and just kind of a mess. Not cute.

I’ve been a longtime user of Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica. Because it is literally the best moisturizer I’ve used on my face, and I always get compliments on my skin when I’ve been using this product regularly.

This cream is really thick but it glides on easily, and isn’t at all heavy. Your skin ends up looking plump and hydrated, and you get a really beautiful matte effect. No shine, no dullness, just beautifully in between.

The titular ingredient is rosa arctica, a flower that can survive up to 31 months in a dry-out cycle. Which means it holds on to moisture really well. Once it is finally given a bit of moisture again, it bounces back to life within hours. Which translates into a super active, potent treatment for your skin.

While I use this all the time, I also love using it with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil. When I use the serum at night and follow it up with the moisturizer in the morning, I always, always get compliments on my skin.
