Kiehl’s Creme de Corps

This is a super luxe favorite of mine. Kiehl’s is renowned for their skincare products, and their Creme de Corps is one of my favorites from the lineup.

I discovered this product when I was going through a bit of a tanning phase. I know, I know, it’s terrible for your skin, but let’s not go there right now. Instead, lets discuss the issue of having a Rudolph red nose because you stood too close to the tanning lamp. What does one do?

Slather on a bit of Creme de Corps and go to bed. Seriously, I would put a bit on, go to sleep, and wake up the next morning with perfectly bronzed skin. Now, I should say this probably isn’t the best for oily skin, since it is kind of a heavy, loaded moisturizer better suited to your body, hence the “corps” in the title: fancy French for “body,” but you know that already.

I’m going to go ahead and assume that this magical effect was from the cocoa butter — itself for after-sun-care, and a personal favorite of mine. There’s also a blend of beta-carotne for vitamin a, sesame oil which is super nourishing in its own right, and then squalane, which is a botanical lipid very similar to our natural skin lipids, meaning its absorbed at the molecular level, and is quick to restore skin moisture and give you a plump, healthy look.

This product comes in a variety of sizes, and a little bit goes a long way, so again, price point might seem steep up front, but it’ll last you.
