Keihl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate

In the summer I sweat a lot. I love the summer heat, but my pores don’t. In the summer I sweat. A lot. And that means I’m sweating out all of the products I typically use, since most don’t stay put in my pores. Which is good, since clear skin is always in style, but at the same time, I want the results from a skincare lineup. I’m a big fan of Kiehl’s, since the brand always delivers when it comes to products that simply work. The Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate was my summer go-to.

Enter this serum concentrate. One pump from the container and you’ll be able to tell that this is a little different than the serums you’re used to. With a potent complex of 15% plant-based glycerin and shiso leaf extract, the serum has a gel-like consistency, which is perfect for hydrating the deepest surface layers of skin. While I always feel like I’m sweating out other serums in my line up, this one stays put and helps refresh my skin. Also, there’s a cooling effect from this that I’m really digging. It’s not a menthol style cooling, but rather it’s just refreshing — something like a cool breeze on a hot day.

This is also perfect for hotter months since it’s designed to correct the sings of age-related dehydration, and plumps up the skin, smoothing the appearance of fine lines and rough texture. Basically, it’s like an Instagram filter in a bottle. As someone who stares at skin all the time when I’m editing photos of people, I find that this actually works like it says it does. Close up checks in the mirror reveal my skin just looks healthier and hydrated, and I’m a fan of that.
