Julep Bare Face Cleansing Oil

I found this one while I was in the middle of a move. You know, when my entire life was packed away and unfindable. I have a bunch of cleansers and things that I usually like, but of course they went missing while I was transitioning over to the new apartment.

The thing with face oils is they’re pretty trendy right now. Everyone has one out, but I feel like nobody really knows what they are. I had been meaning to try this one for some time, but honestly, the idea of cleansing oil seems kind of fussy to me. Isn’t it going to be messy and just a hassle? Nope. It’s actually easier, and gave me better results than my usual routine.

What I’ve found is it’s actually a more gentle cleansing action, and no, it doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy.

Julep’s Bare Face Cleansing Oil features rosehip seed oil to deliver essential nutrients that soothe and repair the skin, and grapeseed and olive oils mean this is a silky, smooth cleansing oil. It just feels nice when you’re applying it — it’s definitely thicker than my typical cleansers, but that means I can feel it actually clinging to my skin and getting all up in my pores.

Julep says to gently exfoliate before you use the oil, and I’d recommend that as well. And be sure to rinse well when you’re done — it is an oil, so it might need a bit more H2O than you would otherwise need.

My skin felt refreshed and super supple when using this, and I think it’s actually perfect for summer or the warmer months. I felt like I needed fewer products — no need for extra serums or moisturizers, since this was really hydrating.
