HILLFLINT: The Mark One Sweater

After posting quite a few sweaters on here already, and it’s not even December yet, I think it’s safe to say I have a thing for knitwear. And while I’ve been incredibly lucky in my thrifting to score some really amazing sweaters at some really great prices, I have to concede it’s pretty difficult to find knitwear that doesn’t make you look dowdy, or cost a fortune.

Recently the guys over at Hillflint got in touch with me, and asked if I would share some info with you all about their new Kickstarter. I figured, hey, why not — they had me at the raglan sleeves. I’m definitely intrigued, and I love the premise of the project. The guys have been crafting collegiate sweaters for some top tier schools, so I have a feeling they know what they’re doing.

The sweaters are made with nearly 1.5 pounds of super soft 100% extra-fine grade Australian Merino wool and sell for just $85. Cut slimmer to avoid the frumpy muffin-effect of most sweaters and with a less elastic waistband to prevent the sweater from riding up the body with movement.
