Boston in the summer is a rather glorious place, which makes up for the months of misery we like to call “winter.” Haymarket is a fruit and vegetable market right in the heart of the city, near the North End neighborhood. Here you’ll find fruits and vegetables at ridiculous prices — see that bounty above? It cost me about $5. However, a word of advice — wander around and make sure you’re getting the best quality. Sometimes things aren’t as fresh as they look, or rather, are so fresh they go bad by the time you get them home. Just glance things over, and enjoy.
