My last memories of Crif Dogs revolve around a bacon wrapped dog, smothered in sour cream, and topped with avocado. Don’t mind if I do (by the way, that’s the “Chihuahua”). Crif Dogs is the place for not-quite-gourmet but still fancier-than-normal. Prices hover around $5 or under, and there’s a wide and varied menu to choose from — the “Sour Cheese Dog” has sour pickles and melted cheese, while the “Tsunami” is a bacon wrapped dog with pineapple and green onions, topped with teriyaki sauce. The place can get quite crowded, so don’t let the lines scare you off.
