The eyes are the windows to the soul, and I know a lot of guys who are starting to become concerned about fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. I think they can add some character to a face, but for those of you looking to push back that process, you’re going to need to start investing in eye creams. After all, the skin around the eyes is the most delicate and sensitive, and needs attention to maintain.

One product I’ve had in my toiletry bag for a while is the Comfort Zone Sacred Nature bio-certified eye cream-gel. The name is a bit egregious, but the product itself is something I can stand behind.

First, a little background on the line:

[ Comfort Zone ] was conceived and launched in 1996 as the skincare division of The Davines Group, which was founded in Parma, Italy, in 1983 by the Bollati family. The foundation of the brand rests in the scientific background of Dr. Davide Bollati, who has always valued extensive clinical research and utilization of nature’s most efficacious ingredients in the development of proprietary formulations. All [ comfort zone ] products are developed and produced in Parma, Italy, in a facility that uses 100% of its energy from renewable sources. Reforestation projects by the company seek to offset the environmental impact related to the production of products and packaging.

All-natural and do-gooding? Perfect. So how does it do what it does?

Caffeine stimulates circulation, to help drain those dark circles under the eye area, which are caused in part by stagnant blood flow. Hyaluronic acid helps boost moisture at the cellular level, causing wrinkles and fine lines to naturally fill as the skin plumps up. Buriti oil is rich in carotenoids, an antioxident, and the normal water that’s used in cosmetics has been swapped out for a biological distilled orange water, which has a remineralizing action. Karitè butter is rich in fatty acids and vitamins, and is a moisturizer, simultaneously protecting  from environmental factors like sun, wind, and saltwater.

Apply a little bit around the eyes, and enjoy the results as they build over time. This is a cream-gel, so it already has a cooling aspect to it, but store this in your fridge and when you apply it will be so much better.

They recommend using this twice a day, morning and night, although I usually only remember to use it in the mornings when I’m getting ready.
