Beauty Collection, West Hollywood

When it comes to grooming products, I like things that are a little bit off the usual PR newswire. I’m more interested in smaller labels and products that have a narrative. I’m looking for niche labels that are beautifully formulated and do exactly what they’re supposed to do. For me, grooming is about efficacy and beauty.

Beauty Collection is basically an Ali Baba’s treasure trove of unique beauty products. There are the usual top contenders, like Bumble & Bumble, but there are also more off the radar lines like Nuxe, which I wrote about here.

I was recently in Los Angeles for a video shoot, and my last night I had a bit of free time to wander around the neighborhood where I was staying. West Hollywood is fun because you can easily walk around, and that’s precisely what I was doing when I stumbled across Beauty Collection.

One of my favorite aspects of this store is there are plenty of products in travel/trial size. While I’m all paying for top notch, effective products, I’m a bit of a tightwad when it comes to spending on new products to try. It feels like a waste of time and money trying new products all the time, so I always grab the smaller versions when I can. Then when I find what I like, I can really get what I like.

Beauty Collection is a bright and airy store and is super easy to navigate, as everything is beautifully organized and most products are right at eye level.
