Avene Eau Thermale Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser

I love Avene because their products are super effective powerhouses while also being incredibly gentle and skin friendly.  They’re high quality and highly effective, and every time I try a new one I love the results. Recently I tried their Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser and, well, I just had to share with you. I normally talk about sensitive skin products, but this is going to be one that’s perfect for those of you with oilier skin, and those of you with acne issues.

First up, let’s look at the description from Avene:

This soapless gel cleanser for face and body harnesses a combination of 3 key ingredients to fight the symptoms of acne without drying and stripping the skin. Rich in soothing and anti-irritating Avène Thermal Spring Water, sebo-regulating patented Monolaurain, and anti-inflammatory Zinc gluconate, the deep cleansing action eliminates impurities and excess oil.

Although this is a deep cleanser, it’s one formulated to o PH balance the skin. Meaning it’s not going to strip the natural oils from your face, nor will it aggraviate sensitive skin. This is soap-free and hypoallegenic, meaning it cleanses with the most gentlest of touch.

Although I have “normal” skin, and don’t have any issues with oil, I do find that this cleanser has a mattifying effect on my skin. Pores feel clean but not like they’ve been vacuumed, and the texture of my skin feels uniform and fresh. I can tell this is improving texture, because there’s always a “dewy” clean feeling, if that makes sense.
